Biography:

Andrew Blackburn was born to a normal middle class family in St. Paul, Minnesota on January 19th, 1985. Growing up, Andrew looked up to his father who was a auto mechanic so naturally he took an interest in vehicles and began learning to work on them when he turned 15. Though Blackburn had an interest in cars, he had a bigger interest in aviation which developed after his mother took him to a Military Air Show when he was 9. Blackburn was fairly active in his teen years playing the wide-receiver position for his High School Football team and taking Tae kwon do lessens, in which he earned a black belt. After graduation in 2003, he went to Rochester Community and Technical College on a football scholarship while studying Automotive Mechanics for a year before dropping out after feeling a need to enlist in the Army in early 2004. After exiting basic and AIT, he joined the 6th Battalion, 101st Combat Aviation Brigade in 2005 where he served 8 years as an E-4 Specialist (eventually being promoted to E-6 Staff Sergeant) working on helicopters. In 2009, married girlfriend of 2 years, Andreea (maiden name Warner) and in 2013 they moved to Shiloh County because his wife found work at one of the local high schools. That same year after leaving the Army, Blackburn found employment with the Shiloh County Sheriff's Department and sometime in 2014 he went to the Traffic Division. That same year, 2014, he and Andreea welcomed their first child together a bit prematurely in April when Andreea gave birth to their son Logan. In March 2015, Blackburn was promoted to Corporal in the Traffic Division and a few months later promoted again to Sergeant.  In 2016 the couple welcomed their second child, a daughter, whom they named Vanessa. A couple of years later, in 2019, Andrew was promoted to Lieutenant.
