Hearing the instructions as we pull up on scene I park the engine and hop out.  Rushing to the pump I get things set and wait to be told the line is ready for water.

Hearing the tones drop for us I head down the bay and gear up before getting in the driver's seat of the Engine.

'So a brush fire in November, gotta wonder how this one started.'

I say making my remark as I wait for others to get in before pulling out.

As I'm about to leave I see Patterson show up.

'230, as usual'

Entering the parade room with my coffee I see that I'm the first to arrive for roll call.  First choice of seats, nice.  Heading to the middle row I take a seat close to the wall and take a sip of my coffee.

Entering the duty room I rub my hands together to get them warmed up as I go stand by the heater.  It's certainly the season when the mornings are cold.

Hearing that the suspects could not be found from the two units on scene I sigh and close the call as they say they are returning to patrol.

As I continue to monitor the call I hear from the deputies that they are in a pursuit of the goblin teenager.  Quite awhile later, in what felt like weeks, I hear from them that they lost sight of the kid and were returning to patrol.  Well, okay, another closed call I think to myself as I close this one.

As I listen to the call I hear from the responding deputies that they could not find the suspect and that they were heading back to patrol.  Hearing that I close the call.

Keeping my eyes on this call I wait what feels like weeks until I hear the response from the deputies on scene.  Hearing the words 'suspect not found, returning to patrol' is not fun as I close the call.

After packing up the ladder I get back in the officer's seat as the crew gets back into theirs.  As we set off back to the station I key up the mic on my shoulder.

"ERT, Ladder 1, show us clear and heading back to the station."

As the group down in the mud comes back up and hands the patient over to EMS I help the ladder crew pack up as it looks like they could use it.  Busy shift, they must be tired as much as I am tired watching them.

'Nope, saw nothing on my way down'

As I answer Keene's question I notice that he's looking at the tagged monument.

'Either they left cause they were done or they went to find another structure to spray paint on.  Notes say they already got the WW1 monument down the path.  Doubt they'll go back there.  That leaves the Washington Statue and the Revolutionary War monument but those can be seen from Bay Street and they weren't at either of those places.'

Watching from the banks I see the crew in the mud place the patient in the basket as the Sheriff's Department shows up to pick up the assault rifle.  Seems Noel is staying down there to deal with them as the ladder brings the patient closer to us.

Continuing to drive south on Bay Street and passing by the other three presidential statues without seeing anything I guess that means they are still nearby the Thomas Jefferson one.

"ERT, 206, I'm also in the area"

Reaching the Jefferson statue and still not seeing them I am guessing they are still in the park as I park 206.   The notes said they also got the WW1 so I doubt they'd be there so I begin wondering what other landmarks is in the area as I see Keene in 208 show up.

Hearing the call go out over the radio I take a look at the notes given.  Some people do not like Thomas Jefferson I guess.  Already heading south on Bay Street I grab the mic on my shoulder and key it up.

"206, responding"

Keeping my lights and sirens off I glance more at the notes as I drive slowly down there.  Seems they also tagged the WW1 Monument as well.

Continuing to watch from the banks I watch as Captain Noel seemingly get slightly alerted as she digs through the mud.  Then I hear over the radio that she's unearthed an assault rifle of sorts.  Shit, what the hell?  Hearing dispatch respond that a Sheriff's unit is on the way I squat down and continue to watch the guys in the mud work.

As I'm about to respond when I hear the doorbell ring.  Seeing that the pizza delivery driver has arrived I walk away and grab the wallet out of my purse.  On my way to get the pizza I see Mark.

'Mark, is that one of your coworkers?  The guy dressed up as a repairman?'

Before he can answer though I hear the doorbell ring some more so I finish my trek to greet the guy with the pizza.  As short exchange of greetings with the delivery man occurs and I pay for the pizza.  After tipping the pizza-boy from Pizza Hut I carry the pizza back into the living room and place the boxes on the table.  Opening one of the boxes I grab a slice of pepperoni.

'Alright, the pizza has finally arrived, find what you like and dig in'

After announcing the arrival of the pizza to the ones that arrived to the party I take a bite out of the slice I grabbed.
