  6. 6. Search and Rescue Operations In 2022, the ERT formally brought the county Search and Rescue agencies under their umbrella to enhance services and provide a unified point of contact and response. ERT Search and Rescue is divided into 4 divisions of paid on call and volunteers, as well as selected staff from the SCFD, who report to the ERT SAR Officer, a ranked Captain. These divisions are Ground Search and Rescue, Urban Search and Rescue, Canine SAR, and Evidence Search Team. The ERT Ground Search and Rescue was amalgamated from three teams within the county providing volunteer services in Kimberley, North River and South River areas. ERT GSAR volunteers are tasked by law enforcement to search for lost and missing persons, including despondent persons in areas of Shiloh County it is not reasonable or practicable for law enforcement to conduct search operations. GSAR members are trained to GSAR Operations Basic, Technician, Team Leader and Search Manager levels. Selected members with a minimum of Technician training may be considered for the Evidence Search Team. All missing and lost persons calls will be initiated through the local law enforcement agencies, and only upon their request will the ERT activate the appropriate SAR team. The Urban Search and Rescue team is a joint effort between ERT and SCFD, with the former providing equipment and the latter providing the personnel. The ERT USAR team is tasked in Heavy Urban SAR operations for persons trapped in building collapses, natural disasters and other incidents requiring specialized rescue. ERT Canine SAR members are paid on-call members, receiving an hourly rate for tasked hours, as well as a monthly stipend for costs related to the search dog. Canine SAR members specialize in man-tracking, cadaver and general purpose search dogs. Members may be allotted red light permits for the personally owned vehicles, at the discretion of the Chief Director of Emergency Management, upon having completed an EVOC, or providing equivalent certification and proof of additional insurance coverage. The ERT may from time to time offer the EVOC, or members may enroll at their own cost. Evidence Search Team Members are specialized SAR volunteers, who have undergone additional training beyond the Technician level to certify them to county standards as an Evidence Search Technician. These members are utilized to assist on crime scenes with a large amount of evidence , a large area to search, or other factors requiring additional personnel to assist forensic and law enforcement investigators. With the exception of the Canine SAR team, volunteer members of the SAR teams are not issued red light permits, nor other emergency equipment for their vehicle, or authorized to use the same.
  7. Located on the main floor, the ERT apparatus garage houses many of the team's large response vehicles, as well as some other equipment. Reinforced in nature, and elevated in height, the garage also supports the helipad, which serves as a landing point for ERT Helo-1. Although capable of landing helicopters, the ERT does not maintain a regular base for helicopters, and serves only as a landing/staging pad. On sides of the garage not used for egress, there are store rooms for various equipment, such as medical, janitorial or mechanical. The helicopter has a similar storage room.
  8. A general bullpen for use by the various task forces, located on the main floor of the ERT Headquaters. Task Force Officer offices line one wall. Behind the offices is access to the ERT Training Room, main floor conference room and the kitchen breakroom and washrooms. Picture to follow

  14. Main Wiki Page | Top of Page | Saratoga 3. Neighborhoods Oxnard has multiple neighborhoods within its city limits. We don't have them documented yet, but they exist. It's just suburbia. Relax.
  15. Main Wiki Page | Top of Page | Saratoga 2. Parks Oxnard has one central park, with woodland surround city limits and a pier-front quay along the river. Oxnard Central Park is located behind city hall, with Park Street running through it. Pedestrian paths string the park, creating a loop around the pond, which park street bridge runs over. At this park are numerous playgrounds, restrooms, a basketball court, tennis court and baseball field. Several war monuments exist, including a statue for both the Civil War and Revolutionary War, as well as a monument wall listing all named victims of the World Wars, and Vietnam War. Due to the proximity to Oxnard Junior High, many students spend significant portions of time in the park.
