    The Shiloh Six
    In October of 2020 an explosion rocked Saratoga's capital city of Selkirk followed by another blast after first responders showed up.  The two explosions happening outside a federal building in the city left 81 dead and 293 wounded.  This incident happening in the early afternoon would soon get Shiloh County, a county hours northwest of Selkirk, involved as the terrorists responsible would try to flee to there.  Hours later at night dispatchers received a call involving two suspicious vehicles in an empty lot in Kimberly.  Three deputies initially went to investigate and upon contact came under fire with IEDs thrown at them.  Three more deputies hearing the call for backup soon responded and would arrive to assist.  By the time other deputies got to the scene, minutes later, the firefight was over and four terrorists were dead.  The public would soon label the 6 Deputies to take part in the firefight the Shiloh 6 and they were promptly awarded for their efforts.

    Shiloh County Origins

    The Origins of Shiloh County begins with Fort Shannon during the French-Indian War when the Fort was built on Lake Ontario in 1756.  Soon after the war, settlers began to live in the surrounding areas of the Fort and the other cities and towns of the county began to form.  Delmore, Oxnard, and Arcadia were the first lands outside of Fort Shannon to fill out with settlers living in those areas.  Delmore was the first of those three cities to get recognized and established as town in 1771.  Arcadia, in 1773, was next to be established as a town and in 1779 Oxnard was officially established as a town.
    After the American Revolutionary War end the locals in the area ventured out further into the lands of the county and the areas of Kimberly and Essex were inhabited.  Both areas were great for farming but later on Clinton and Crescent Falls would split and take away land from those towns but we'll get to that part later.  In the 1790s a new state of the US was founded when a large part of New York decided to split from the state and became Saratoga.  Shiloh County was apart of this new state and became one of the first established counties of Saratoga taking the Fort Shannon, Arcadia, Delmore, Oxnard, Essex and Kimberly as it's towns and cities within it's borders.
    In the 1840s mills were built in the western lands of Kimberly after the locals there started to have trouble farming the lands there.  Within the decades to follow other industries started to pop up and the area flourished as the population grew.  In 1872, the lands eventually became Clinton after officially splitting away from Kimberly.  Similarly, with the founding of a college in 1883, the population of Essex grew in it's eastern parts and later became it's own city, known as Crescent Falls, in 1891.

    Biography:
    Evelyn Hawke was born on May 6th, 1993 in Skowhegan, Maine where she lived with her parents and older sister. Growing up in a town surrounded by forests she easily found herself getting into fishing, bow-hunting, and shooting. Spending time with her father she gained an interest in sports which only encouraged her to be more of a tomboy. Her mother taught her to be feminine but she never really grew out of her tomboy nature until late into her teens. She particularly loved ice hockey and started taking up the sport starting in elementary school.
    Her wild child rebellious age started kicking in when she was 14 and she often found her herself getting in trouble around town for various things. In high school she got into a feud with the head cheerleader when Evelyn tried to stand up to her for one of her hockey teammates. She was only suspended once but it wasn't for anything she did during the feud. Upon earning her diploma in 2011 she stopped playing hockey because the two year college she was going to didn't have a hockey team. It wasn't her first choice of college either but she wasn't able to earn a sports scholarship to where she wanted to go.
    During her first summer break from college she got a job as a dancer at a club for a few weeks until a patron nearly attacked her while she was on stage. That was the first of two events which made her realize she should settle down and marked the end of her wild child years. The second incident happened at the beginning of her second year in college when she attended a party that almost didn't go well for her after she got drunk. After both incidents she changed her major and earned her degree in Criminal Justice: Law Enforcement in May 2014.
    After graduating college she found employment with the Somerset County Sheriff's Department in 2015. She spent four years with the department until she had to leave due to personal reasons not related to the department itself.  Moving south after getting a job with the Shiloh County Sheriff’s Department in Saratoga she now currently lives in Kimberly because she does enjoy living the rural life.

    Biography:
    Andrew Blackburn was born to a normal middle class family in St. Paul, Minnesota on January 19th, 1985. Growing up, Andrew looked up to his father who was a auto mechanic so naturally he took an interest in vehicles and began learning to work on them when he turned 15. Though Blackburn had an interest in cars, he had a bigger interest in aviation which developed after his mother took him to a Military Air Show when he was 9. Blackburn was fairly active in his teen years playing the wide-receiver position for his High School Football team and taking Tae kwon do lessens, in which he earned a black belt. After graduation in 2003, he went to Rochester Community and Technical College on a football scholarship while studying Automotive Mechanics for a year before dropping out after feeling a need to enlist in the Army in early 2004. After exiting basic and AIT, he joined the 6th Battalion, 101st Combat Aviation Brigade in 2005 where he served 8 years as an E-4 Specialist (eventually being promoted to E-6 Staff Sergeant) working on helicopters. In 2009, married girlfriend of 2 years, Andreea (maiden name Warner) and in 2013 they moved to Shiloh County because his wife found work at one of the local high schools. That same year after leaving the Army, Blackburn found employment with the Shiloh County Sheriff's Department and sometime in 2014 he went to the Traffic Division. That same year, 2014, he and Andreea welcomed their first child together a bit prematurely in April when Andreea gave birth to their son Logan. In March 2015, Blackburn was promoted to Corporal in the Traffic Division and a few months later promoted again to Sergeant.  In 2016 the couple welcomed their second child, a daughter, whom they named Vanessa. A couple of years later, in 2019, Andrew was promoted to Lieutenant.

    Biography:
    Born in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on October 17th, 1989 to a Swedish-American father, Henrik (born May 10th, 1959), serving in the military and a Japanese-American mother, Rika (born July 8th, 1966). She has one older brother, Arlan, born two years before her who enlisted with the Marines and was killed in action in 2014. She also has one younger sister, Karina, who is currently in her freshman year of college (as of when this was written in 2017). She lived the first two years of her life in Hawaii until her father got discharged from the Marine Corps and moved to the outskirts of Washington D.C where she lived until she graduated High School.
    Her childhood for the most part was pretty uneventful where the only highlight of her youth was when she got into a fight with her father about going to a party with her friends. Later that night the police raided the party and some arrests were made for drugs and other illegal activities. Despite the fact that she did not go to the party her father never let her hear the end of it.
    It was due to her father constantly telling her 'I told you so' that she came to be irritable with him and after graduation she enlisted in the Army. After training to become a Combat Medic she did a couple tours of duty in the 10th Mountain Division's 3rd Brigade, with the rank of E-5 (Sergeant), in Afghanistan. After 4 years of service she decided not to re-enlist feeling that she did enough for her country and wanted to return to civilian life.
    Currently Erika has been working as an EMT in Shiloh County for over almost two years now. In September of 2014 she met and started dating a construction worker named Martin Kostelnik. In late June of 2015 she took up Martin's offer and decided to move in with him at his house. In February 2017, Erika gave birth to her first child a daughter whom the couple named Eliska.
