[TW] SWAT Training Operation - Room Clearing

[J. Wagner]

Heading into the Special Ops Squadroom, I'm wearing the standard SWAT subdued uniform with no gun belt, yet. Ready to meet the crew before our training I head over to the storage room and grab my gear, readying the full tactical loadout. Won't be long and the rest will be there. I've heard there's a new face joining us, I'm sure there's an email telling me who, but that's just too far in the inbox for me to be arsed to look, I'll find out soon enough. 

[I. Greene]

Hearing there will be training I head into the Squadroom where I see Wagner already waiting.  Without saying a word I finish my coffee and throw it in the trash before going to get my gear for whatever it is where doing today.

[S. Wright]

I walk into the squadroom after my team, setting my duffel down on a table.

"Morning, everyone. Doing alright today? I hear the instructors have something actually hands-on planned for today that isn't just range time."

[J. Wagner]

'About time' I say, checking my rifle and grabbing some of the red tagged ammo cartridges and placing them into my loadout. Red means Dead, to not dead. Or something like that. The don't kill someone cartridges. 

'That printout on the table. That us sarge, or?'

 

[J. Rogers]

*i walk into the room in my new swat uniform. My pants cuffs are bloused and everything is squared away*. 
 
‘Morning gentlemen sorry I’m late morning traffic from Kimberly was rough.’  
 

*i put my kit down on a bench and walk over next to Jerry and start looking at the table infront of us* 

[J. Wagner]

‘Morning gentlemen sorry I’m late morning traffic from Kimberly was rough.’  

What. The. Fuck. I turn around and it's Rogers. Scrat. What the Fuck. Why is he in a SWAT uniform?

'Is he our hostage, or is this a joke or what?' I go wide eyed when no one laughs. ' Wright, what the actual fuck are we doing giving triggers a gun? I'm still unsure about him with a side arm. He's not seriously SWAT. Is this punk'd? Is Ashton around the corner? What the fuck.'

I nervously look for something. Shiloh 6 anniversary joke. Definitely.

'Scrat, do you recall what Rule #2 is?'

[J. Rogers]

'Scrat, Do you remember what Rule #2 is?'

'Sir that would be Always Know your location'

*i look at Wagner*

'I'll be honest Jerry i never thought i would make it this far but my FTO Trained me well what can i say'

*i turn back to the layout sitting on the Table*

'So Sgt Wright is this an Office style Building?'

[J. Wagner]

'Always know your location. I'll be honest Jerry, I never thought I would make it this far but my FTU trained me well, what can I say?'

'Yes. And what is your location? The Special Ops Bullpen, and you're getting ready for a SWAT op. And you're not being funny right now. You are misplaced. You clearly took Rule 5 too literal and now you're here. There must be a mistake because last time I checked Rule 15 still applies.' Turning away again, looking for someone to end the joke, 'Are we seriously letting him on SWAT? Jesus, I should've let the terrorists shoot me. Might've been less painful.'

 

[J. Rogers]

*i laugh when jerry says that*

'This isn't a joke Wagner, i really am on SWAT now your eye's aren't playing tricks nor is Sgt Wright'

*i look over as more of the soul's he's eaten leaves his body*

'sooo guess you gotta deal with me in trainings now too Jerry'

[J. Wagner]

'Cool, cool, cool, so I'm gonna need to stop down at the armoury and pick sup some live ammo, just in case. You know. Since hell has frozen over.'

Looking away from the joke and towards the map on the table.

'What's the scenario?'

[I. Greene]

Trying not to chuckle at the banter between Wagner and Rogers I try to keep my eyes focused at the table and the map on it.

[S. Wright]

I laugh as Wagner looks around in panic.

'Yes, Jerry. This is your new SWAT partner. Hope you like him, we picked him out just for you. Special order.'

I gesture to the printout.

'This is for us, yeah. Office style building. They want us to train on room clearing. Instructors should be in here any second now.'

[J. Wagner]

'Motherfuc-'

I genuinely still don't believe it's real. 

'Alright. Hostage Active Shooter protocol? Any idea on how many victims we're expecting, or baddies?'

As I ask, I see the training guys making their way in.
