  Casey was born the second child to a military family. Her dad worked in the Coast Guard pretty much her entire life and her mother was an officer for the town they lived in. Her interests were quickly molded by her parents professions leading her to explore JROTC programs before finally deciding on joining the Coast Guard herself, which she did as soon as she graduated high school. Throughout her childhood she was absolutely fascinated by military and emergency services and it would be the foundation of her life goals, her time in active duty Coast Guard was rather short, only four years, but it was filled with plenty of experience as she started off in a Tactical Law Enforcement Team (TACLET) and then joined the Maritime Security Response Team (MSRT) for the rest of her active duty career before switching to reserves and applying to Shiloh County's sheriff department. While in Shiloh she doesn't get to see her parents much as they still live in Connecticut along with her older brother who has visited regularly. After completing her transfer from active to reserve and being accepted by Shiloh County's Sheriff Department she decided to go back to college part time, applying for a waiver to live on campus in a dorm in an attempt to save some costs both from traveling back and forth between a house, work and university and also just to avoid having to buy a house right away while also earning a degree to help her in her long term goal of becoming a detective.

   2020 Camping Trip

   July 15, 2020

   *I pull into a parking spot and grab my stuff, making my way down to the campsite. I wasn't sure what I was gonna do, but the camping trip provided a nice escape from Crescent Falls, and a even better time for just being in nature, which, when you were in a college town pretty much everyday, was a pretty welcome change for a bit. On my way down to the campsite though I see trees knocked down on the way down and shake my head at the sight. I make it to the camp site and see an RV sitting there...a large RV at that.*
   'Clearly someone couldn't handle the idea of camping...'
   *I say quietly as I shake my head, sure a RV is a nice little mobile home on wheels, but I wouldn't call it camping. I find a place to set up and set my stuff down starting to set up my little area.*

   *I follow Wright's lead as we get ready to enter into the lobby, knowing we had a flashbang prepared I simply waited for the order to go. Given that we hadn't been seen on our way in I was sure the gunmen had no idea we were even here which gave us the perfect element of surprise. Once Wright gives the order for Greene to toss the flash in, I wait to hear it go off then follow Wright and the others into the lobby where he quickly deals with two of the gunmen, leaving us all staring down the last one. He smartly surrenders and Wagner moves in to detain him.*
   'Room looks clear.'
   *I say as I took give it a once over, spotting no additional threats, I keep my rifle ready though just in case, as there was always a chance.*

   *Once we get the words to deploy, I make sure the rope is set and deploy it then quickly slide down it hitting the roof with my feet and bending my knees some to soften the landing, I swing my rifle around to my front and move to a place to cover Wagner as he slides down.*
   'Lets hope they are clueless to what we are doing.'
   *I keep my rifle aimed toward the door that leads into the building keeping watch on it while the others get ready then move into position with them at the door*

   *I Make my way to the helipad with the rest of the team and climb in, listening to what everyone else was saying. When Wagner asks about what happens if someone goes down, my first instinct is to deal with the threat then the casualty. That's always how it is, if there is no threat then taking care of the casualty becomes much easier. Wrights answer confirms that for me as he explains what he wants to see if someone goes down. Luckily my training with the Coast Guard kept me in practice with fast roping, though it had been a bit since the last time we actually did that training in the reserves.*
   'Fast and hard is definitely the way to go on this. We gotta take them out before they can get into position to defend against our entry.'

   *I point toward my SUV, it wasn't blocked in by the numerous responding vehicles either which was nice.*
   'Right over there.Looks like I got clean route out still if we want to take it.'
   *Once he decides he does want to I nod and grab myself a spare 416 before I head over to my SUV and get in the drivers seat*
   'Sounds like your plan is hard and fast. I like that. Brings me back to my time in the Coast Guard.' 
   *once everyone that's coming in my SUV gets in I pull out and head toward ERT HQ to get to the helipad.*

   *I step back with the team and once we are in cover again I lay the shield to the side and take aim toward the door with my rifle. Seeing that they took the phone made me wonder if they were actually going to negotiate, with the armor and weapons they had, my training told me they weren't. But I was still hopeful they would. When I see them send the hostage out I was even more surprised, and then shit went bad. Fast. I see O'Reilly run up to get the hostage and then one of the robbers step out to spray at them, I return fire with many of the other officers outside, but when its done I see O'Reilly on the ground. 
   "Fuck.'
   *I hear someone put out the call for officer down, and then look toward Wright wondering what his plan was going to be, then hear him call for SWAT to rally at 101. I make my way over in case he still wants me to tag along after being detailed to SWAT.*
   'You still want me in on that Sergeant?'
   *I ask as I look toward the bank, I would love nothing more than to go in there and kick some ass.*

   *I nod to Wright as he tells me to grab the shield from 101, once i grab it I make my way back over to Wright and get in position for them to stack up. If the situation wasn't so serious I might have even rolled my eyes at Wagner's assumption, but this was definitely not the time or place for that, everyone had to stay focused. Once I feel Wright place his hand on my shoulder I nod again and make sure I hear everyone indicate they were ready*
   'Alright here we go.'
   *I then start to move toward the front door of the bank to allow Wright to deliver the phone, keeping the shield positioned to keep all of us covered as best as possible. I bring us up toward the door and hold the shield in place to allow Wright to deliver the phone*

   *I hear the shots, my focus turning toward the bank doors where they came from, but it doesn't shake me at all. When Russo tells me to link up with Wright I nod*
   'Yes sir.'
   *I then turn toward Wright and head toward him*
   'Where do you need me Sergeant?'
   *I take another look toward the doors of the bank before looking back to Wright. I get the feeling this is gonna end in a shootout, not the greatest first call for my rookie, but I'm happy hes on the perimeter.*

    *I then head toward Captain Russo*

   *Stretching a bit in my chair I take a quick glance at the clock.  Three minutes until 4pm.  Could use a pizza tonight.  Yeah that's sounds good.  Hearing a call come in I take it.*
   '911, where's your emergency?'
   *A voice replying in a whisper responds.*
   'TD Bank, 3054 Lyons Ave, we're being robbed'
   'How many?'
   'Four guys, they're all carrying Ak-47s, heavily decked out in armor.'
   'Anyone hurt?'
   'No, no...'
   *Hearing someone in the background interrupt the caller.*
   'Who are you speaking to?'
   'No one, I'm not talking to anyone'
   'Fuck'
   *The sound of a gun shot followed by screaming fills my headset.*
   'Hey, why'd you shoot her'
   'We got the pigs coming, hurry up.'
   *Hearing another gun shot the line goes dead and I get on the Sheriff's radio.*
   "County to Sheriff's Department, I need all available units and bosses to respond to the TD Bank on Lyons Ave for a Bank Robbery, shots have been fired, multiple hostages and a possible causality inside"
   *Getting on EMS's radio.*

   2020 Camping Trip

   ((It's that time of the year again.  Time for the annual camping trip.  In character wise this trip last 3 days, unspecified, in summer but out of character it lasts the entire summer.  Meaning this thread gets locked on September 1st.  This trip we'll be camping off of Murphy's Lake in Ponderosa Pine's State Park.  It's roughly a ten minute walk from the parking lot to the camping site that is roughly the size of 1 acre.  All members of ERT are invited regardless of what department they are in.  Yes, this also includes the dispatchers and the commissioner.  We'll start off in the morning at around 8am.  It's sunny with no clouds and warm.))

   'I'm at the CVS at crown plaza, an employee and I guess a customer are fighting.'
   'Any weapons?'
   'Not that I can see'
   'What do they look like?'
   'One is wearing a CVS uniform. The other is a white lady in her 30s and they're really going at it'
   'Ok I'm sending the cops now'
    
   "Units in the Oxnard area. I have a fight at crown plaza CVS, Employee and a woman in her late 30s. No Further. Can I get an SCSD unit to respond"
