Engine 1 Fire Drill

"ERT, Engine 1, we're going to be out in the district at Fort Shannon Elementary for a fire drill."

"Copy that Engine 1."

I release the microphone from the portable and call out to my crew. 'Come on guys, let's head out.'

[K. Clark]

'Come on Guys, Let's head out'

'let's do this LT'

*Grabbing my gear and throwing it in the cab of the truck i hop in and take my seat in the truck, I clip in my seat belt and put on my headset*

'got it ' * i say as i wrap up my mechanical checks and move to both climb into and fire up the engine cracking my window as i put my headset on having stowed my gear as i did my check of the rig*

"Let's do this L-T" Rogers says, while Dave climbs in the driver's seat. 

"Now, now, Rogers. It's Cap today." I say with a smile, pointing to the placard over my helmet shield. 

As Dave sits down and starts to pull out, I put my headset on and listen on the intercom. We're only around the corner from the school, so it won't be long until we arrive.

"Alright guys, when we get there, I'll check in at the office, you guys come on in. I figure once we activate the alarm, we can watch how they evacuate, and see what fun we can have testing them."

"Engine 1, 9202"

"Go ahead 9202"

"You guys on the way to Fort Shannon Elementary?"

"Yessir."

"Copy that, I'm just coming down from City Hall, I'll join you for that drill."

"Copy that 9202, we'll wait for your arrival." I say into the mic, and then into the intercom. "I guess we've got company now."
