Early life:
Kathrine Marie Clark was born April 24th 1999 at mayo regional hospital in Dover Foxcroft Maine, Kat was Born to Charles Clark and Rosa Clark of Jackman Maine.
Growing up Kat’s parents were both hunters and trackers, teaching kat how to shoot by the age of 7. At the age of 10 Charles was killed well sighting in his rifle for the upcoming hunting seaon when a bullet fired at a steel target ricocheted back and struck him in the chest. Paramedics from Mayo regional ambulance and lifeflight of maine were called but sadly Charles was Pronounced deceased at the scene.
Six months later Kat found herself being moved to the Town of Dover Foxcroft maine after her fathers funeral where she would attend her final months of middle school at Sedomocha Middle school and eventually attending Foxcroft Academy and Tri county technical center.
At the age of fourteen Kat was flown to Eastern Maine Medical Center and then eventually to Boston Children's hospital after she was jumped and stabbed multiple times by a group of upper class men, After spending a year in the hospital and the kids never being found she returned to school.
Military Service:
At the age of 17 Kat enlisted into the us army as a sixty eight whiskey combat medic, in June of 2015 she was sent to basic training at Fort Jackson South Carolina then sent to Advanced individual training at Fort Sam Houston Texas.
After she graduated AIT she was sent right to airborne school at Fort bragg where she attended three weeks of jump school and where she met her two best friends Barrett Jackson and Brady Smith.
After graduating from jump school all three were assigned to the 82nd airborne 1 brigade combat team 504th parachute regiment bravo squad, This is where they met their squad leader Gavin O’Connor in 2018 they were deployed to Helmand province Afghanistan to relieve 42 commando of the British royal marines.
On April 15th 2018 Kat’s squad was tasked with going to secure the village of Dotani and capture a known IED maker in the village, For this day Kat was moved two trucks behind her squad to Bravo 2-2.
About an hour into the patrol the lead truck in the was struck by an IED, This truck contained Gavin Barrett Brady and another member. After the strike on the lead truck, small arms fire and IDF was sent towards the now smoking and badly damaged lead truck and the rest of the convoy.
Well being engaged by gun fire kat dismounted from her truck and under fire ran up to the lead truck that was now starting to catch fire, Once arriving at the truck Kat and other members from the truck behind the lead truck started working on getting the members out of the burning humvee.
Once all four members of the truck were removed kat went right to work triaging all four determining the driver of the truck was DOA she went to work taking care of her three friends requesting a MERT from the Royal Airforce, Upon arrival of the MERT all three were loaded to be flown to Camp Bastion but sadly all three passed away before arriving due to their injuries.
During the rescue and firefight Kat along with two other members of the convoy were struck with shrapnel but continued on with convoy, After Arriving back state side in January 2019 Kat Honorably discharged after 5 years in the service. Winning a purple heart for her actions on April 15th 2018.
Present Day:
After Discharging from the military Kat moved to Ft Shannon Saratoga where she attended college and met James Rogers, After a year of dating James and Kat got married in February of 2020.
In March of 2020 James and Kat both applied to work with shiloh county emergency services James going down the route of going to the sheriff’s office and Kat going to the Fire department finally chasing her childhood dream. In October of that year Kat and James’s lives would be thrown for a loop when a terrorist splinter cell attacked the states capital.
Later that day another terrorist attack would kick off in the town of Kimberly where James and multiple deputies would engage the group and finally stop the attacks but without multiple injuries to 4 out of the 6 deputies that responded that fateful day. After this attack James and Kat began fighting a lot more.
Do to the Fighting Kat started to see a therapist but her for months her mind wasn’t right which all came to a head on march 3rd 2021 when kat responded to a working building fire, At this building fire kat would become trapped inside after a portion of the house collapsed well she was searching for a potential victim inside.
After almost 5 months in the ICU Kat was finally released from the hospital where she learned the victim she said she had found was all in her head, After this her and James got a little bit but during her recovery kat discovered that due to the constant worry of James and fighting that it might be best to get a divorce and separate from her husband.
In July of 2022 Divorce papers were finally ordered and the process began it hurt kat to leave to James but she knew this would be the best thing for her, In May of 2023 an agreement was made and Kat both agreed she would stay in the house in kimberly and James would move back to Ft shannon.
Kat has officially changed her last name back to her Maiden name and still sees and therapist when she isn’t on shift, But kat has returned to full duty with in the SCFD and is still friends with her Ex husband and is excited for the future within shiloh county.
