Parade Muster Point

Muster point for units assigned on parade duty: Including Fast Response Flycar 1 (EMS-F1), EMS Officer 1, (EMS O-1), Engine 1, Squad 1, various sheriff units. 

Parking the staff car up behind the command post, I grab my bag and zip my jacket up, walking around the rear of the new minivan that finally arrived into the staff pool. Maybe the ERT doesn't like dispatchers, because everything is yellow except what they let us drive. I walk into the command post and take a seat at the terminal, loading up the computer and getting ready to handle all resources and potential incidents that come up during this time. I won't touch a 911 call, but I'll be the sole dispatcher responsible for this route. It'll be a little different than normal for sure, other dispatchers sending me calls to process, but I'm up for the change.

"ERT, be advised, Fort Shannon Parade Command is established, and dispatch procedures are now active. Please advise all units on other frequencies to change channel for Special Operations."

"Confirming Parade Command established."

*I walk down to the bay and over to the squad. I put my gear in the back seat and get in starting it up. I look over making sure Noel is in and I pull out of the bay and head to the muster point for the standby*

'Just park it here Bruce' I say as he pulls in by the command post. 

"ERT, be advised Squad 1 is now at parade muster and will be available by radio for dispatch."

'I'll go check in to see where they want us.'I say, hopping out of the cab and making my way over to the command post for check in.

* after grabbing my riflr and the durangos keys i do my checks and fire the truck up,as i stow the rifle ,and the computer boots up i ease into traffic a slow drive over and im at where were mustering not seeing any other sheriffs units i key up parking  near the fringes of the muster point as i key up * "parade command,from 255,checking in parked up at the fringe of the muster point awaiting tasking"

I park my big yellow Christmas Machine in the area for emergency service dignitaries, get out and check the attachments all over the truck. While the children go look around the lot, I make my way over to command, might as well see if there's anyone to chat with before the parade starts.

*i pull out of the parking lot of the local coffee joint and head over to the muster point. arriving i get out of my cruiser and head over to the command post to get my tasking*

'Sup everyone what's the Tasking for this parade'

*I pull into the Parking area for emergency vehicles a block over from the parade route. I step out of the new black charger and put my Navy coat over my crisp white shirt and put my hat on. Its early so the organizers are still setting up. I walk over to the command post and grab a cup of coffee and the detail roster of SD personnel expected to show up. Leafing through it and write a few notes down about posts. I step out and see a few more deputies are mustering. I seem to be the only SD supervisor on scene.*

Arriving at the muster point I park 200 next to 400 and get out.  Shutting the driver's door I key up the mic as I head to the command post.

"200 at the parade muster point."

*gettng my stuff sorted after the parade room and being unaware i was assigned a parade detail but honestly should of known i ease 230 into our muster point as i key my portable had i known about it id ofd dressed the truck up or myself otr ajax a bit if it was doable while still being able to respond to call as well,parking with the only other police vehicle i see but not right next to it as its a traffic unit so thats probably traffics gathering point as i park i see a black charger,400s here and right near by i see andrews silverado,pulling my cold weather jacket o i head over to join them and the other cops to see whats up,opting to keep ajax in the truck for right now,thankful i topped off the gas tank before i hit the road* . hello everybody,where you gonna want me and ajax on this?' * i ask   as i shift my duty belt before slipping my hands in my jackets pockets*

The ping sounds and the laptop shows a new call pending. I open the information and see a minor disturbance the Fourth Street North Intersecion

911 call. M reporting entrapment and false arrest.

I key my microphone, knowing there's not much already here that's not IN the parade, and radio to incoming units.

*hearing the call i head back to 213 and get in keying up*

"ERT 213 show me Enroute can i have a Traffic unit has the Vehicle left the route yet"

*after putting my transmission out i put my mic down and turn on my lights and blip my siren as i start to head towards Fourth st North*

'welp,so much for stanfing by,idiots gonna idiot  i guess even during the holidays' * i say as i start 255 pulling out of where i parked keying up when i hear patrol wanting traffic with him* "255,rolling" * i say into the mic in the durango as i flip the lights on tapping the airhorn which is on siren to disperse afew people kinda clogging the road out walking alomng the parade route as i head to the first idiot of the night*

Watching a deputy run towards his unit, flick the lights on and take off blipping the siren, I wonder what's happening to require such a response. And from the looks of the muster lot, everyone is. I've got ten bucks that says angry motorist. It's not like we don't have a parade EVERY year. Idiots.Looking over my shoulder I see Captain Russo entering the CP, all dolled up and important looking. He must be in the parade as well.

"Captain, looks like your men are hard at work already"

Arriving at the parade muster point in 215 I park the SUV and get out.

"215 at parade muster"

Letting go of the mic on my shoulder I head to where it appears I should standby for further orders.

"203 at the parade muster"

Parking 203 I get out and head to where others are on standby

*I pull up in the supervisors truck and see two of my deputies pulling out to respond to a traffic incident. I get out and approach the other bosses.*
 

‘Morning, got the detail roster.’

*I pull in with the command car, the other fly car should be pulling up momentarily.*
 

”O-1 on scene”

* not expecting to have my own vehicle for work,i pull the explorer into the stageing area,its normally a paramedics ride but today its mine as i park the truck near the lieutenants i key up* "EMS F-1 on scene"  * my texas twang faint but still there*

Showing up in 231 I park the SUV and get out of the vehicle.  Leaving Merlin in the unit I head to where others are waiting for orders.

[E. Vogel]

*I pull up in the charger and park next to a few of the sheriffs cars. I get out and stand with the other deputies. Theres a small group standing away from the supervisors.*

'Not sure we met guys, I'm Emily'

Seeing Bruno arrive and walk up to us I fill him in on the details we want.

'Bruno, we want traffic running escort on the parade.  So that'll be 253 and 255.  253 will be leading, 255 trailing. 255 is out on a call right now so get him back now.  Spread out any K9 units at the start, middle, and end of the parade.  Let them know the dogs stay in the units.  You can decide who goes where.  As for the rest of patrol, same with K9, just spread them out in sections.'

*Blackburn gives me orders. I nod as he tells me specifics.*

'I will retrieve 255 and have them both back for assignments.'

*I get into 220 and head towards the traffic incident.*

As Bruno leaves I see Vogel and elect to tell her where we want her.

'Vogel, you're in the parade running escort.  You'll be taking lead.'

[E. Vogel]

'Vogel, you're in the parade running escort.  You'll be taking lead.'

'Yes sir, Ill head out momentarily '

*getting back into the muster point i park 213 turning it off and hop out and head over to a group of deputies and await orders*
