Alyssa Melanie Breslin was born to Thomas and Vanessa Breslin on July 23rd 1991. Her father was a professional chef while her mother worked for a doctors office. In 1995 her brother Stephen and in 2005 her sister Callie was born. In late 2005 he parents filed for divorce. Given her shaky relationship with her mother she chose to stay in Arizona with her father, While her mother moved to Shiloh County with Stephen and Callie. While in Arizona her teenage years were wild and unsupervised. She drank heavily and regularly as well as smoked marijuana. When she was 16 she began waitressing at the county club. With the flow of money coming in she started a cocaine habit.
In June 2009 after a long night of partying Alyssa and he friend Hannah were driving to another house party when Hannah lost control of the car and struck the median at speeds of excess of 80mph. Hannah was pronounced on scene while Alyssa was extricated and treated by rural metro paramedics. Suffering numerous broken ribs a ruptured spleen and a femur fracture. Alyssa spent several months in physical therapy and then was given the option by her parents, Be cut off or move up north to Shiloh County with her mother and go to rehab. Once in Shiloh county she found work at mikes diner and went to Shiloh County Community College. After getting an associates in liberal arts and found work as an office manager for an architecture firm but soon felt unfulfilled in 2011 on a whim she took the EMT course remembering that night on the highway, after completing it she quickly found work at a local private EMS service Metrostar.
Alyssa felt working as an EMT could be rewarding but after a month of working as at a BLS level the work was not engaging and paid terrible so she signed up for paramedic school at SCCC. obtaining her Paramedic in early 2013. Alyssa applied to the SCFD EMS division and was accepted to the county EMS academy graduating in March of 2013. After being assigned to station 1 Alyssa stepped up with responsibilities and was given the title of Lead Medic and in 2016 she took the exam for lieutenant and was promoted later that year.
