'Jesus Christ Rogers, aren't you SWAT?'

'Yes that's why i shot at the tires and not into the cab of the vehicle'

*moving up as Allen takes the first passenger out i move in and cuff them* 

[J. Wagner]

"Okay, secure the suspects, lets get them in cuffed and on the sidewalk. Who fired shots?"

I look around see  faces. "Is everyone okay? We need to secure the scene and hold everything for IA. If you shot your weapon, back to your car and turn off your radios."

I look at Bagley, she looks flustered to say the least. 

"You're good, holster your gun, help secure the scene. You didn't fire any shots, right?" She shakes her head. "Okay, you're good. Get the crime scene tape out of the back of the car.

"Rogers, that means you, you know the OIS rules. Gotta keep the scene clean to we can clear your shooting fast."

*Dropping my Mag in my rifle i clear the rifle and hand it the fresh mag and the used mag to Wagner*

'Imma be at my car for when 200 arrives'

 

[R. Barrillo]

"Aight, 201 and 207 on me let's go keep out of the crossfire"

*I hear my unit called and start to move up with the 201 and 209. I move out from behind my door and start moving up on the right side of the vehicle. My rifle is trained on the right side of the vehicle as I scan the dark windows for any movement on the inside of the now crashed out vehicle.*

"I'm on you, 207 moving!", I shout in response.

*I keep my weapon trained on the vehicle. The passenger starts to comply but once he opens his door he immediately bolts off down the sidewalk. I see something in his hand as he runs down the street and I give chase but I can't quite make out what it is.*

"One's running, I'm on him! He's got something in his hand, I can't tell what it is!"

*I say loudly as I give chase down the sidewalk shouting at the suspect as he sprints down the street. I free up my left hand and let my rifle hang by the sling with my right hand on the pistol grip, I use my left hand to key up my mic and shout into my microphone.*

"ERT, 207, passenger's running, I'm on him!", I say into my radio before gripping my rifle with two hands again and give chase to the passenger.

"Stop running! Stop fucking running!"

 

[W. Burke]

Driving north through Fort Shannon, I see a barrage of lights. Of course this would happen when I'm going through. At least this isn't a jacket with shoulder flashes. Jesus. Days like this I'm glad we moved to unmarked for top officers. Sitting in traffic I hear two gun shots, followed by three more. What the fuck.

"ERT, 1201, we've got shots fired at an SCSD call in Fort Shannon South. Uh Area of South Eighth."

"Copy that sir, receiving reports from officers on scene as well."

"Copy that ERT. Advise when we've got a situation under control."

After a few minutes of staying out of sight, as an unarmed director will be no help, I hear the all clear from ERT dispatch. 

I toggle my emergency equipment and pull up alongside the scene. I hear  more sirens approaching, and park my unit in opposing traffic on the sidewalk, out of the way of evidence. "ERT, mark 1201 on that incident until you've got a supervisor out here. We've got an OIS."

[K.Bagley]

*looking at wagner i pull him aside*

'Did that really just fucking happen, Did we just get shot at by our own guys?'

*becoming quite upset i sit down on the curb*

* while im running the guys info and listening to the allmighty clusterfuck that was  the stop of the car were looking for im about to return to the RP when i hear something i never thought i would on the call*"ERT, mark 1201 on that incident until you've got a supervisor out here. We've got an OIS."

 

'your shitting me..... the Comis is on scene for this.AND we damn near killed our own people in a crossfirew too........ WHAT...THE..... FUCK!!'

 

Mr Andrews: "there a problem sergeant?'

*i here as i open 230's door  mentally curseing  as he musta heard me* me: 'mo no,you check out,theres just alotta chatter on the radio,its a been a busy tour today and its not even noontime yet'

mr andrews: one of those days huh' 

* i cut him off his guns still in my truck at least till the shitshow resolves itself* 'yeah,you could say that,mind if i get a closer look at the damage,so i can document it?'

Mr Andrews: 'sure knock yourself out,can even let you in if you want' 

*legally he cant as its not his property but i just nod and pull my notebook,i can get the pictures later or the detectives can as i move to the building and start documentation*

[Z. Russo]

"ERT, 211, law shots fired, requesting supervisor and detectives."

*I get up from the desk as I hear the radio chatter about a possible friendly fire incident. I walk out of my office towards the front door. I quickly get into my Unmarked charger.*

"400 put me on the OIS. Notify IAB to respond to the scene as well."

*As I respond to the scene which isn't too far from the station I pick the mobile radio up*

"400 are all SCSD Deputies accounted for and do we have any injuries?"

*Before she can answer another patrol unit cuts me off with emergency traffic*

"ERT, 207, passenger's running, I'm on him!"

Now not only do I have to worry about a friendly fire incident we have an active foot pursuit.

"400 to ERT. Have the closest unit not out of service regarding the OIS back 207. You can put me responding direct to scene"

*The secondary countywide radio comes to life with a familiar voice.*

"ERT, mark 1201 on that incident until you've got a supervisor out here. We've got an OIS."

'Fucking wonderful, Burke is here and that always works out nicely.'

I mumble to myself as I continue driving

[A. Blackburn]

Nearing the scene I start seeing a runner being chased by one of our deputies heading towards me.  It looks like he has a possible weapon tucked into the front of his pants as well.  Shit. Stopping 200 quickly I hop out of the truck and pull out my tazer as I grab my radio.

"200 on scene, have the runner heading towards me"

As the runner and Barillo get closer I aim my tazer at the runner.

"STOP RUNNING!  STOP RUNNING OR YOU'RE GETTING TAZED!"

The runner keeps running of course.

"STOP RUNNING!"

He still doesn't comply and so as he gets even closer I sigh.  Now I can make out what's tucked in his pants.  Looks to be a MAC-10.  Luckily he hasn't pulled it out and used it yet.  Maybe the mag is empty

"STOP RUNNING!"

As he gets within can't miss range he starts slowing down as he goes for the MAC-10 in his pants.  Ah shit, got no choice now and so I deploy my tazer at him.

"TAZER, TAZER, TAZER"

As voltage goes through the runner I see him drop.  Moving up to him I see the MAC-10 on the ground and use my foot to slide it away from him.

'Fucking hell'

I say to myself as I look at Barillo to cuff him.

'Take him back to the scene and search him.'

"ERT, 200, tazer deployed, send EMS"

 

[J. Allen]

I escort the perp to the back of 201 as I analyse the clusterfuck this has become. Burke and Blackburn are here already. Thank God I didn't shoot.

Swinging open the RL door, I move him inside my car, read him his rights and close the door afterwards. Moving around the back toward the trunk, I pop it open as I'd place the Glock 17 I found in an evidence bag, keeping it on hand as I close the trunk.

[J. Wagner]

'Did that really just fucking happen, Did we just get shot at by our own guys?'

'Hey, up. You didn't get shot. Just shot at. Get the tape out of the back of the car, and start roping off the scene.'

I take a deep breath. That last siren wasn't one of us. It was the big dog. What a fucking mess. 

"400, no injuries. All accounted for. I'm securing the scene."

"200 on scene, have the runner heading towards me"

"ERT, 200, tazer deployed, send EMS"

"200 copied, we've got Medic 27 en route to you now. Scene secured?"

"Affirmative."

I move with Bagley to secure the scene and any involved firearms. "Who else shot?" I call out, knowing we had two shooters. "Barrillo? Was that your gun?"

[W. Burke]

As I exit the vehicle, I see a deputy take off in foot pursuit after another guy. Jesus Christ.

"ERT, what's the channel for this incident?"

"Tac-2" 

"Copy, I'll be on there."

I switch over and hear 200 getting out of his rig and deploying his tazer. Just what we needed.

I pull my windbreaker out of the back seat of the tahoe and pull it on. 

"Who's in charge here?" I call out. I see a gruff looking deputy raise his hand, near a scared looking female deputy. Christ, they'll give anyone a badge now. "Shooters secured? Any injuries"

"Scene secured and no injuries."

"Good. We need to close down the area while IAB gets here. Need to secure everything. What happened. Why did the guys start shooting?"

[J. Allen]

"Who else shot?"

'Rogers and Barrillo', I answer Wagner.

I open my car's FL door as I sit inside, typing up the vehicle's license plate on the MDT while keeping the door open. And now we wait.. wonder how long I'm gonna have to be here with this guy in the back of my car.

[K.Bagley]

'Hey, up. You didn't get shot. Just shot at. Get the tape out of the back of the car, and start roping off the scene.'

'Yes Sir'

*i stand back up and move over to 211 and grab the Crime scene tape out the back*

'imma start at our car wagner where do you want to go with the tape?'

[J. Wagner]

'Rogers and Barrillo'

"Barrillo, you too. In the car, turn off your radios and wait for IAB."

'imma start at our car wagner where do you want to go with the tape?'

"Do the car and get a full perimeter. Any witnesses, I need them to stay. We've gotta wait for the brass now, so let's get this area secured completely. It's better to go too big than too small.:"

I look over and see that we'll have three cars tied up with suspects. 

"ERT, 211, do we have a court unit in the area, I've got 3 that need transport, this could alleviate the backlog."

"Copy that 211, 718 is just around the corner on a drop off, we can have him there shortly."

"Affirmative, thank you." I'm going to make that custody deputy's day right about now. "Ask him to go priority on this one."

[W. Burke]

"Good. We need to close down the area while IAB gets here. Need to secure everything. What happened. Why did the guys start shooting?"

"I've got my probie closing the area. To be honest sir, I have no idea what happened. From what I can tell, our guys shot first. Damn near took us out. We were opposite trying to box in the car when we heard the shots ring out. I've got both deputies inviolved in their cars in silence."

"Good. And IA is 0n the way?"

"200 is somewhere around here, he had to taze a third, and 400 is responding." 

Before I can answer, I look up and see an ambulance approaching. 

"For the third suspect?" 

Wagner nods.

"Alright, well, I'm not much of a cop, but I did work as a marshal before joining ERT. Anything I can do until we get some brass here to secure the scene?"

Before Wagner answers, I hear two more sirens approaching, a black unmarked charger I recognize as Zach's and a white ford... van? Is that the detention unit from the courts?

[K.Bagley]

"Do the car and get a full perimeter. Any witnesses, I need them to stay. We've gotta wait for the brass now, so let's get this area secured completely. It's better to go too big than too small.:"

'Okay Sir'

*I get the first side of the perimeter set up and walk over to the other side of the scene and get the tape set up over there, Once i finish i walk back to wagner*

'Okay Wagner perimeter is set up anything else you need me to do or do i just sit and wait'

[R. Barrillo]

*After chasing down the running suspect for a short way and cuffing and securing him after he gets tazed. Once he is secured and brought back to the vehicle I do as I am told, surrender my weapons and turn off my radios and sit in my vehicle in silence as I await IAB to arrive on scene.*

 

[Z. Russo]

*As I pull on scene I see Chaos. Wagner is talking to the Commissioner*

"ERT, 200, tazer deployed, send EMS"

*This was a shit show. I step out of the car.*

"400 on scene. Put me out with 1201."

*Walking over to the two.*

'Commissioner, Wagner.'

*Nodding at both but directing all my attention to Wagner.*

'Since you seem to have taken command of the situation in lieu of supervision give me the rundown of what happened'

[A. Blackburn]

As Barrillo takes the suspect back I put on my gloves and pick up the MAC-10.  Ejecting the mag and clearing the chamber I bring it back to 200 where I pull out an evidence box to place the firearm in.  With the MAC-10 secured and catalogued in the back of 200 I walk up to Wagner, Burke, and Russo to get the rundown of what exactly happened here.

[J. Wagner]

'Okay Wagner perimeter is set up anything else you need me to do or do i just sit and wait'

Thank god she's not pulling that Jerry shit in front of the commissioner. He might not be covered in brass, but he still is brass.

'Keep an eye on the scene. Detectives should be here soon. I'm hearing a lot of sirens. When they get here, you belong to them until they release you to me. I'll be here with command for a little bit I think. You're in charge of scene security until someone outranking you relieves you, got it?"

"400 on scene. Put me out with 1201." I hear and I see the unmarked charger pull up, unfortunately not belonging to the detectives.

'Commissioner, Wagner. Since you seem to have taken command of the situation in lieu of supervision give me the rundown of what happened'

"Not really command, as much as defacto in charge. Basically, we got here, I attempted to create a box to block in the vehicle and prevent a high speed, they initiated a felony stop, and when the vehicle attempted to flee, Rogers and Barillo opened fire towards us and the vehicle, no injuries. I've got the two DIS sequestered and secured in their units for IAB.:" I notice Blackburn come up behind me and continue. "We secured two suspects, and the third fled as 200 arrived on scene. When he and Allen pursued the suspect, I remained on scene as my probie was with us, and we had no other deputies not involved in the shooting, so I took defacto command."

I take a breath and look around. "Bagley is on scene security until someone relieves her. She's new but she's eager. And it's hard to screw up scene security."

[K.Bagley]

'Keep an eye on the scene. Detectives should be here soon. I'm hearing a lot of sirens. When they get here, you belong to them until they release you to me. I'll be here with command for a little bit I think. You're in charge of scene security until someone outranking you relieves you, got it?"

'Yes Sir'

*I walk over to 211 and place the tape on the hood and start walking the line as a crowd starts to form*

Hearing Wagner's summary I chime in when he is finished.

'In regards to the third suspect running.  When I arrived he was heading right towards me with Barrillo in pursuit.  It appeared he had a weapon tucked into his pants so I got out of 200 and pulled out my tazer.  Told the suspect to stop three times and when I noticed he was going for the weapon in his pants I opted to deploy my tazers.  The weapon he was going for was a Mac-10 that I have secured in the back of 200."

[Z. Russo]

*As Wagner and Blackburn tell me what happened.*

'It is a fucking miracle nobody got killed. The only thing that happened here is career suicide.'

*I groan as I turn to Burke*

'It sounds like this is going to be a huge issue. I think we need to get PIO on standby. At best were looking at a firing, Worst case we're looking at criminal charges. isn't Rogers SWAT as well. He should know better'

[J. Wagner]

"Yeah, he is. I don't know why he shot, for all I know he saw a gun, but you'd have to talk to both of them to confirm. I didn't do anything other than sequester them. It's not my place to interview them. If you guys are good, I have to go check on my probie. She's still got training wheels and I don't want to leave her alone too long."
