  Because his hometown of Ludlow, Vermont didn't have a hospital Landon Cook was born in Rutland, Vermont in 1998 to a family of farmers. Growing up he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities. Joining the volunteer fire department after high school he made money by helping out his family's farm. Realizing he wanted to be more professional he applied to fire departments around the country and got hired by ERT's Shiloh County Fire Department. Thus he moved to Fort Shannon where he lives in an apartment near Station 1.

   As the group down in the mud comes back up and hands the patient over to EMS I help the ladder crew pack up as it looks like they could use it.  Busy shift, they must be tired as much as I am tired watching them.

   Watching from the banks I see the crew in the mud place the patient in the basket as the Sheriff's Department shows up to pick up the assault rifle.  Seems Noel is staying down there to deal with them as the ladder brings the patient closer to us.

   Continuing to watch from the banks I watch as Captain Noel seemingly get slightly alerted as she digs through the mud.  Then I hear over the radio that she's unearthed an assault rifle of sorts.  Shit, what the hell?  Hearing dispatch respond that a Sheriff's unit is on the way I squat down and continue to watch the guys in the mud work.

   Standing back I watch as the ladder crew gets to work with my orders.  As Boorne goes with Noel down the embankment I watch Beard and Wilson get the ladder in position over the patient.  It then hits me that the EMS supervisor isn't here yet even though I'm sure I heard O-1 call responding.  Oh boy, there's going to be shit stirring back at the station after this one.  Going back to the officer's seat of the ladder I grab a bottle of water and take a sip after cracking it open.

   "And I think this... guy? Though I'm not 100% sure on that part either, is just a run of the mill armed intruder, though I'm not sure where he's hiding a gun in that costume."
   Hearing Jen say that I pat myself down to show no pockets on this racing suit and then I shrug.  No words spoken, just keep them guessing for a bit longer.

    Stepping to the edge of the embankment I look down to see the patient stuck in the mud and two EMTs going after her.  Turning back I walk over to my crew with a plan that at least sounds good in my head.
    'Okay, Boorne, go assist the EMTs out there with the patient.  Beard, get the ladder in position over them.  Wilson, when the ladder is in position and the EMTs are ready for it, I want you to drop the basket for them.'

   ENGINE 1 , REPORTED BRUSH FIRE IN HARBOR PARK, ENGINE 1, BRUSH FIRE, HARBOR PARK, AREA OF BAY STREET NORTH AT NORTH FOURTH STREET. RESPOND ENGINE 1.
   "911 What is the location of your emergency?"
   "HARBOR PARK!"
   "Okay ma'am, where are you in harbor park?"
   "By fourth street."
   "Okay, in North river, right?"
   "uhuh, there's a fire!"
   "What's on fire?"
   "I don't know, it looks like some grass again!"
   Jesus, it's November and we're still burning grass?  How in the hell?
   "Okay ma'am, I've got the fire department responding. Are there any structures nearby?"
   "No, no, it's only a small little bit of grass right now, it isn't really moving fast. I guess the frost is slowing it down."
   "Okay, I understand. I've got the fire department on the way to you now, if anything changes call us back right away."
   I process the call and dispatch a modified response of just one engine, instead of taking the rescue off the run to staff the brush truck.

   "Fell off a bicycle, probably broke her leg. But she's down by the River, it's stuck in the mud. Not a high angle, not really a tech, but it's gonna need hands on."
   "Okay, let's go, squad and a ladder, no need to tie up the rescue unless you think it's a tech." 
   "No. Not a tech rescue. But it's in 1's area, and Squad is out on another call."
   "Okay, do Engine and Ladder. And give the captain a call when he's on the way. And send the EMS officer car. It's a weird one for sure."

   "Yes! The bushes near it. They're burning pretty good."
   "Okay, is there any cars or anything other than brush near the fire?"
   "No, just the road."
   "Is there any near the fire that could be injured?"

   LADDER 1 RESPOND TO HARBOR PARK AMPTHEATRE, RESUCE AT HEIGHT. LADDER 1, HARBOR PARK AMPITHEATRE, RESCUE AT HEIGHT. 
   Caller reporting friend stuck on rafters, dangling by their belt, approx 20 feet over stage. Request immediate assistance, no apparent injuries. 
   "911 Where is your emergency?"
   "The ampitheatre!"
   Looking over to the ALI, I see they're in Harbor Park. I don't know how dispatchers managed people before this kind of tool. "Okay, in Harbor Park" Uhuh "Tell me exactly what's happening."
   "We were just fooling around, we were going to set up a prank for Halloween, and something spooked George, he's dangling now!"
   "Okay, can you see George? Is he hurt?"
   "No, he's just stuck!" 
   "What's he stuck on?"
   "He was on the rafters, it looks like there's a peg or something his belt is stuck on, he's just dangling there now by his belt. But like, it's 20 feet, if he falls he's going to be hurt, real bad!"
   "The fire  department is on the way now, tell George to stay calm and stay still..."

   LODD Funeral  - SCFD Involved Collision which killed Lt. Nick White, returning from a structure fire
   Date: October 13, 2022
   Location: Church of Saint Michael of the Saints, funeral procession to continue to Fort Shannon Roman Catholic Cemetery with interment to follow. 
   This event occurs Timewarped, following the autopsy of the fallen. Full dress uniform is expected for those attending from an agency. SCFD Engine 1 has been taken out of service and replaced with a spare to be used as a funeral escort.

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT, BAY STREET AND SOUTH NINTH STREET, FORT SHANNON. ENGINE 1, LADDER 1, RESCUE 1, UNIT 22, DEPUTY 1, MEDIC 1, MEDIC 2, MEDIC 43, MEDIC 42, OFFICER 1, EDO-1. BAY STREET AND SOUTH NINTH STREET FOR MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT. 
    SCSD TRAFFIC UNITS IN AREA OF FORT SHANNON SOUTH RIVER, RESPOND TO FIRE DEPARTMENT INVOLVED MVA, POSSIBLE FATALITIES, BAY STREET AND SOUTH NINTH STREET. 
    Listening to the radio traffic, I hear that the fire in South River is starting to clear up, some of the extra apparatus are leaving the scene, RIT, Logistics, and ladder 14. I mark the units as returned to service and adjust the timers for RIT and Logistics as they're well outside of their regular run. A few minutes pass and the phone rings.
    "911 Where is your emergency."
    "One of your trucks just like did a flip."
    "Okay sir, I need you to confirm your location."
    "I'm on Bay Street, right by the end of the park. I don't know, I think ninth?"
    I confirm on the ALI that this looks like the right location. "Sir, what do you mean one of our trucks did a flip?"
    "A Fire Truck, like with a ladder"
    "Okay, sir, I'm sending emergency services, is the truck upright?"
    "No, it's like, not totally upside down, but you know, it's really bad. There's a guy just hanging out of the door. I think he's dead."
    My heart drops. I start to give instructions for him to check on the scene, and while I wait for him to get there, I key the mic for the radio. "Ladder 14, ERT." Nothing. "Ladder 14." Still no answer. That's our involved truck.
    I tone out the incident, and assign an upgraded alarm, sending extra resources to the scene, as well as notifying Aylward.
